Follow-up

Identify whether any common issues have emerged that should be raised with the department or equivalent and result in measures for the whole organisation.

A follow-up of agreed activities should be done on an ongoing basis throughout the year as this is part of the strategic professional development plan and ensures that checks are made to see if progress is in line with the established plan. Both the manager and the employee are responsible for carrying out the activities described in the plan for the staff appraisal.

Plan and implement collective health and safety measures according to the development plan for systematic work environment management.

Views on the appraisal

The manager and the employee should evaluate the appraisal together. This can be done at the next meeting, as time is often needed for reflection before an evaluation can take place.

The aim of developing and improving the format and implementation of staff appraisals is to:

  • Evaluate the purpose and content and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Enhance the organisation of staff appraisals for the organisation.
